Marketing Pal (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates this marketing website, the centralized account system at account.yourmarketingpal.com, and the Marketing Pal Chrome extension. This Privacy Policy covers how we handle your data.

1. This Website

This website (yourmarketingpal.com) is a marketing site. It does not require an account or use account authentication cookies. We use Vercel Analytics to understand website traffic and usage. Account sign-in and extension processing are described separately below.

2. Centralized Account

Marketing Pal provides centralized account management at account.yourmarketingpal.com. The shared account manages your identity, Facebook identity link, subscription, billing status, and extension authorization. The consolidated extension provides birthday, publishing, invitation, member review, and friend review workflows in one workspace.

We set cookies on the .yourmarketingpal.com domain so you stay logged in across the account website and extension. These cookies are used for authentication only. They do not track your browsing activity outside our services.

3. Marketing Pal Extension

The consolidated extension keeps workflow records and preferences in your browser, including templates, drafts, schedules, scans, and saved review records. These workflows share one workspace and can use related records when you configure a routine.

Local workflow records do not automatically sync to another device. Internal recovery files and previously exported copies can contain personal information and message or post content. Keep those copies private. Customer-facing backup import and export are not provided in the consolidated Settings.

4. Data We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account at account.yourmarketingpal.com, we collect your name and email address. This single account is used across all Pal workflows. Stripe processes payment-card details for paid plans. Our account service retains subscription and billing records needed to manage your plan.

Extension Data

The extension interacts with Facebook in your Chrome browser to support birthday wishes, publishing, invitations, friends list scans, and group member review. Friend profile scans may also collect visible location information and country inferred from that information. Workflow content is stored locally; shared account services process identity, authorization, action allowances, execution authorization and billing records. Sending or publishing transmits the content you configure to Facebook. The extension does not require you to provide your Facebook password to Marketing Pal.

Included AI, Where Enabled

Where included AI features are enabled, text you submit for generation or rewriting passes through the account service to OpenAI for processing. The service also records action and usage information for authorization, allowances, and request recovery. This processing is separate from local workflow storage. Do not include sensitive personal information in prompts or text you submit.

Usage Data

We collect anonymous usage analytics and error tracking via Vercel Analytics and Sentry to improve our products.

5. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain the extension
  • To process subscriptions and payments
  • To send transactional emails (verification, password reset, subscription updates)
  • To improve our products based on usage patterns
  • To detect and prevent fraud or abuse

6. Third-Party Services

  • Stripe: Payment processing for paid plans. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
  • Vercel: Application hosting and anonymous analytics.
  • Sentry: Error monitoring and performance tracking.
  • OpenAI: Processes text submitted through the account service for included generation and rewriting. Available features and action allowances depend on your plan.

7. Workflow Data

The five workflows operate within one Marketing Pal extension and share your verified Facebook identity.

Birthdays

Birthdays reads available Facebook birthday information to show upcoming birthdays and prepare the posts and messages you configure. Saved records can include friend identifiers, names, available dates, templates, images, schedules and delivery results. Messaging uses the selected recipient conversation and its visible delivery information.

Publishing

Publishing stores drafts, uploaded media, selected profile or group destinations, schedules, comments and publishing results. It sends your configured posts and comments to Facebook.

Invitations

Invitations reads available friends and Page or group destinations and sends the invitations you configure. When you enable invitation follow-up messages, it opens the recipient conversation, sends your configured message and checks visible delivery information. It stores message templates, queued recipients and invitation or delivery results locally. These messaging functions interact with private Messenger conversations.

Members

Members reads visible group membership requests, including applicant identifiers, names, questions, answers and contact details supplied in those answers. It saves captured responses locally for filtering and review, including after a recorded approval or decline. You can export shown request records as CSV and configure supported decision rules and schedules. CSV files may contain other people's personal data; share and retain them carefully. Automatic member messages and exports to external integrations are not provided by this workflow.

Friends

Friends reads available Facebook friend-list and profile information to maintain saved review records and carry out the cleanup actions you select. It retains scan history and action results locally. Records Facebook does not expose are not proof that a friendship ended.

The optional Keep computer awake setting prevents sleep while Chrome is open. The extension reads the central account session cookie to verify sign-in.

Signing into the same account on another device does not restore local workflow records automatically. Sync refreshes available Facebook data in the current browser; it is not a cross-device backup service.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Account deletion removes account records through the account and connected legacy cleanup process. It does not remotely erase workflow data stored in Chrome on your devices or copies of exported backups. Remove those local records and backups separately when you no longer need them. Some audit records remain after their user reference is removed; account deletion does not mean every audit event is erased. Anonymous usage analytics may be retained for product improvement.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
  • Delete: Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
  • Export: Request a machine-readable export of your data.
  • Correct: Update or correct your personal information from your dashboard.

10. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) for hosted services and secure session handling. Stripe handles payment-card processing. Protect access to your Chrome profile and any downloaded files containing workflow data.

11. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through our website or by email. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
